How I got here

I started with online radio. In 2009 I launched Radio Intens, a station for Romanians in the UK, which is still broadcasting today. In 2012 I built AscultăLive.ro, to gather Romanian radio stations in one place where they are easy to find; in 2025 I rebuilt it completely, from scratch. They are my own projects, built because I needed them and, as it turns out, so did other people. They taught me more than any course.

Along the way I built websites for other people too. At some point I realised I was doing too many things at once: apps, photography, video, graphics. So I cut back. Now I do one thing, websites, and I try to do it well.

Why Romanian businesses in the UK

Because I live among them. I know people who do very good work, in construction, transport, catering, salons or accountancy, and who show up online with a Facebook page and three photos taken in a hurry. It isn’t that they don’t care. They never had anyone to talk it through with in their own language without feeling they were being taken for a ride.

That’s what I’m trying to fix: that you can discuss what you need in Romanian, or in English if you prefer, and get a website that looks as serious as your work is.

How I work

I write everything down first: what we’re building, what it costs, by when. I’ll tell you if something can’t be done or isn’t worth doing, even if that means a smaller project. I don’t disappear after launch and I won’t leave you with a website nobody can touch.

I use AI as a working tool, openly. It helps me move faster at writing and at code. Nothing gets published that I haven’t read and checked myself. The responsibility is mine. The details are here.

This website

It’s hand-written, with no WordPress, no plugins and no cookies. It loads instantly and works even with JavaScript turned off. It’s also a sample of sorts: if you want to see how I work, you’re already inside it.
